SEN Inclusion Service (Medical Needs) Type 1 Diabetes Early Years Transition Support Parents

The Education Authority SEN Inclusion Service (Medical Needs) has designed an online session as part of the Transition Support Programme for parents and guardians of children living with Type 1 Diabetes.

This session is accessible by parents of named children who will transition into nursery or primary education in the coming academic year.

The session aims to:

• Provide parents with an opportunity to meet the team.
• Provide an overview of how the service supports schools as they care for children living with Type 1 Diabetes.
• Provide an overview of how the service supports parents of children living with Type 1 Diabetes.
• Provide an opportunity for parents to link with each other.
• Provide an opportunity for the team to receive feedback and input from parents.
