Big Bedtime Read

For Settings Participating in the Getting Ready to Learn Programme

The Getting Ready to Learn team will be hosting a TPS via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 30 April at 2:00 pm.  The session will focus on effective approaches to delivering the Big Bedtime Read theme to your families.  The session will explore good practice, with a particular focus on supporting families to develop positive reading routines at home.  

The session will also introduce new Getting Ready to Learn resources including:

• an updated Parent Presentation
• an updated Parent Booklet to accompany Big Bedtime Read
• a new short animation designed to promote Big Bedtime Read in a clear, engaging way.

In addition, Janet Compston from Education Library Service will share insights on how libraries can support early literacy and how settings can get the most from the service to enhance their Big Bedtime Read activities.
