Primary (Day 1 of 2) - The New SEN Framework Code of Practice

Aim

• To inform continued professional development within the SEND Framework.

Objectives

• To prepare for the transition from the old framework (Stages 1 and 2) to the new framework (Stage 1).
• To identify school delivered to generic educational provision and school delivered special education provision.
• To highlight examples of generic and special educational provision across phases. 
• To understand what is meant by "reasonable adjustment".
• To provide guidance to help schools prepare, implement and review a written accessability plan for their school.

Time

9.30am - 3.30pm

NOTE: SENCo substitute cover is provided for this event (there is no code for NISTR – this will be paid directly into your School's budget).

NB: Only one place per school

Mandatory for ALL SENCOs in mainstream Primary and Post Primary Schools.
