Safeguarding Children who Perform Chaperone Training for Licensing and Registration

Aims

To enable Chaperones to have an understanding of the legislation that governs children's performances and chaperone licensing.

To equip Chaperones with the knowledge and skills required to apply relevant child protection legislation, policies and procedures in their role for safeguarding children who have been licensed to take part in performances.

Learning Outcomes

• Be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the legislation that governs children's performances and chaperone licensing.
• To have a sound knowledge of the role and responsibilities of a chaperone.
• Be aware of the categories of child abuse.
• To understand the role of the chaperone in relation to their duties in reporting concerns.
• Recognise the benefits that the legislation brings to everyone.
