AIM:
To build upon School Principals’ knowledge and understanding of their role in managing child protection and safeguarding within their school.
OBJECTIVES:
On completion of this training participants will have had the opportunity to:
Consider current legislation, policies and best practice for child protection and safeguarding in schools.
Revisit the safeguarding role of the Principal.
Revisit the roles and responsibilities of the safeguarding team within the school and other professionals in the child protection process.
Understand how allegations and complaints against staff are presently managed.
Understand the safeguarding messages for schools from recent SBNI Case Management Reviews and EA Individual Agency Reports
Participants will be invited by the Child Protection Support Service Team
