ER Training - Dealing with Complaints (AM) & Dealing with Performance and Conduct (PM)

Please note:

• If you wish to attend both sessions you will need to book both the morning and afternoon session separately;
• Lunch will be provided if you are attending both sessions;
• Pre-learning is noted below.

Who is the event for:

EA Managers and Principals attending the Great People Managers Programme

Purpose of the event:

To enhance the skills and confidence of managers to deal with employee relations matters by providing an overview of EA policies, good practice, a variety of practical tools and the application of toolkits.

The sessions will cover:

Dealing with Complaints - 9:30am – 12:30pm: 

• Early Dispute Resolution
• Grievance
• Dignity at Work, including preparation for delivering ‘Promoting a Dignified Workplace’ awareness session to employees.

Pre – learning:

• Be familiar with the relevant EA or School non-teaching Dignity at Work and Grievance Policies & Procedures;
• Review ‘Promoting a Dignified Workplace’ PowerPoint presentation for Managers and Promoting a Dignified Workplace PowerPoint presentation for Employees and identify any queries for a Q & A session.

Dealing with Performance and Conduct - 1:15pm – 4:00 pm:

• Performance Management
• Discipline, including Investigations

Pre – learning:

• Be familiar with the relevant EA or School non-teaching Disciplinary Policy & Procedure.
