AIMS:

This course aims to provide participants with:

An understanding of effective inclusion. An overview of Type 1 Diabetes. An understanding of the way in which Type 1 Diabetes impacts on a child. An understanding of the practical considerations to implementing the Individual Healthcare Plan. Opportunities to explore strategies and resources to support resilience in the child with Type 1 Diabetes within school.

Opportunities to identify and disseminate best practice in meeting the needs of pupils with Type 1 Diabetes within school.

Supporting Transition - Early Years Professionals Training

This course is cross service training provided by Pupil Support Service, SENEYIS and Primary Behaviour Support and Provisions.

AIMS:

Identify key partners in transition Outline the core aspects of support for effective transition Use child centred planning to develop bespoke transition plans To reflect on issues and challenges around the transition of children with SEN and how it affects children, their families and educational professionals
