2a. Developing Receptive Language in the Classroom

Aims and Objectives

This whole day course aims to provide participants with: 

• A greater understanding of the term ‘Receptive Language’ and the developmental processes involved.
• To recognise the impact of a receptive language difficulty on a pupil’s ability to access the curriculum.
• Opportunities to engage in practical workshop activities, exploring strategies and resources to help support receptive language development within the classroom.
• Opportunities to identify and disseminate best practice in meeting the needs of pupils with receptive language difficulties within the classroom.
