Microsoft O365 Support Sessions

EA C2k eLearning Team will be offering a support sessions to help schools get started with Microsoft O365. These will be live, thirty-minute sessions providing support for teachers starting out with Microsoft O365. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first served basis and are open to Primary, Post-Primary, Special school and EOTAS.

Please note these sessions are unlikely to be sufficient in themselves as stand-alone training. They are designed to complement existing help materials and to act as a springboard for further exploration. Most benefit will be derived by integrating the support sessions with other materials available through Microsoft Support Site and suggested during the sessions.

O365 Support Sessions

1. Using O365 to support remote learning

This session introduces some of the key benefits of O365 apps and how these might be used to support pupil learning. It will also provide practical advice for getting started and sign-post you to further training and support to help you delve deeper into some of the key apps.

2. Building your Team – Using MS Teams for collaboration

The Microsoft Teams app is the central hub when it comes to staff collaboration or pupil learning.  This session will commence with an outline of the key components of the Teams app. Next learn how easy it is to create a team where discussions can take place, resources shared for review and worked on collaboratively. You will also see how simple it is to integrate other key apps to support your planning and development of resources.

3. Using Teams to support pupil learning

This session is ideal for those new to Teams as it will demonstrate how quickly a class team can created and discuss good practice in relation to setting up channels, allow sharing of resources, discussion, assignments and feedback.

4. Scheduling and managing Online meetings

MeetNow is the online meeting app that is fully integrated into Teams. It can be used to have adhoc private meetings with staff colleagues or Teams’ meetings with staff.  It can also be used within a Class team with pupils.  This session will step you through the basics of setting up a MeetNow session and provide some key tips to ensure your session runs smoothly.

In order to support as many schools and centres as possible, a maximum of three teachers per school can join each session. We will seek to provide additional sessions should demand exceed the places currently available.

A confirmation email will be sent to all successful applicants prior to the course date. As our courses are in huge demand we would appreciate if you could inform us prior to any EA C2k training courses if you cannot attend.  This will allow us to provide a training opportunity to someone on the course reserve list.
