The Education Authority (EA), under it’s legal responsibility as an employer to provide Health and Safety advice, affords CLEAPSS membership to all Post Primary settings.CLEAPSS provides general support and advice for all aspects of practical work with an over-arching focus on health and safety, their advice and guidance forms the basis of model risk assessments for practical activities carried out in educational settings.The Education Authority have worked in collaboration with CLEAPPS to provide- 'Managing Health and Safety in Technology and Design- Northern Ireland'
This half day online training has been designed for Technology and Design HoDs and will be facilitated by Dave Parry, T& D Advisor.
COURSE STRUCTURE
Part 1: Requirements of health and safety legislation.
Part 2: Risk assessment and recording using CLEAPSS materials.
