AIMS
To enhance and deepen understanding of the impact of neglect on children.
Learning Outcomes:
- Consider recent research into the effects of neglect on the developing brain
- Understand the different types of neglect
- Understand the impact of neglect on a child’s capacity to learn
- Revisit tools to use in school where there are concerns about neglect
- Revisit best practice in talking with parents / carers about neglect
