C2k Securus Opt In Training

C2k are offering a half day training course (10am-1.00pm) on Securus in each of the 4 C2k Centres (Antrim, Belfast, Craigavon & Omagh).

Securus is an e-monitoring application that monitors students/guest users on *C2k Managed devices using key stroke monitoring and application monitoring technologies. * Desktop and portable devices.

Issues and concerns detected by Securus include:

• Cyber bulling

• Online Grooming/child abuse/exploitation

• Depression, self-harm and suicide

• Racial, homophobic and religious harassment

• Use of drugs or weapons

• Attempts to use a proxy bypass to access restricted sites

• Radicalisation/extremism

• Enables schools to identify issues in student behaviour and safety

Following Securus training:

Securus will be deployed to your school within 10 working days. 

Prior to attendance to one of the training sessions please ensure your principal has submitted the opt in online form on C2k Exchange. Your principal can access this form from the link below or from School Services | Information Management section on C2k Exchange:

The closing date for booking is Friday 7^th February @ 10am.  A confirmation email will be sent to the applicant prior to the course date.  As this training will finish by 1pm, lunch will not be provided.
