C2k Securus Opt In Training

C2k are offering a virtual training course on Friday 4th December 2020 (10am-12pm) on Securus.

Securus is an e-monitoring application that monitors students/guest users on *C2k Managed devices using key stroke monitoring and application monitoring technologies.

(* Desktop and portable devices.)

Issues and concerns detected by Securus include:

• Cyber bulling

• Online Grooming/child abuse/exploitation

• Depression, self-harm and suicide

• Racial, homophobic and religious harassment

• Use of drugs or weapons

• Attempts to use a proxy bypass to access restricted sites

• Radicalisation/extremism

Benefits of Securus:

• Alerts staff to potential child protection issues

• Enables schools to identify issues in student behaviour and safety

• Easy to read captures providing staff with solid, irrefutable backup

• Encourages students to use technologies responsibly

Following Securus training:

• Securus will be deployed to your school within 10 working days.

A confirmation email will be sent to the applicant prior to the course date along with details of how to join the Collaborate Ultra session.

Please note - The Collaborate Ultra session will be open 30 minutes prior to the start time to allow time to log in and check access.
