Support for Integrated Education
Shared Education & Sectoral Support -> Support for Integrated EducationThe Head of Shared Education & Sectoral Support (SESS) and a dedicated School improvement Professional for Integrated Education provide dedicated support to all Integrated Schools. The team provide targeted support to schools who are embarking on or have been approved for Transformation to Integrated Status. This programme of support helps leaders and educators through the challenges associated with the transformation process by co-designing a strategic plan for transformation which compliments the School Development Plan.
The SESS Team works in partnership with DE, NICIE, CSSC and other educational partners to help advance Integrated Education in line with the new DE Integrated Education Strategy. In 2025/26 the SESS Team will be providing bespoke support to Integrated Principals focusing on the new Integrated Education Evaluation Framework and for Middle Leaders within Integrated Schools who have a responsibility for promoting Integration across the organisations.
The Integrated Education Hub has been designed by SESS to help encourage, facilitate and support Integrated Education. This Hub has a wide range of support materials to assist Integrated Schools and helps share highly effective practice that is ongoing across the Sector. The IE Hub is continuing to evolve with the voices of educators and young people being captured and shared.
