The Child Protection Support Service (CPSS) has developed online refresher training for school principals in the form of 3 pre-recorded sessions for those principals whose training has or is due to expire during the school year 2026/2027.
AIM:
To provide newly appointed principals with knowledge and understanding to fulfil their role in managing safeguarding and child protection in their school/educational setting.
Objectives:
Principal will have the opportunity to:
Identify the role of the members of the school safeguarding team.
Become familiar with the role of and support offered by the EA Child Protection Support Service (CPSS)
Discuss the role of ETi in safeguarding in child protection.
Increase their knowledge of legislation and DE Guidance governing safeguarding and child protection
Have an understanding of Operation Encompass and the responsibilities of the safeguarding team in this process.

9:30am - 13:00 pm
Sub cover provided to a maximum of £123 for a half day (this rate is subject to change).
