Safeguarding & Child Protection One Day Refresher Training for Designated/Deputy Designated Teachers

Aims

• To enable Designated/Deputy Designated Teachers to further their understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues in line with new DE guidance, new trends, and developments in safeguarding.
• To increase Designated/Deputy Designated Teachers knowledge and skills in the application of relevant safeguarding and child protection legislation, policies and procedures by drawing on their experiences to date protection and safeguarding issues.

Objectives

By the end of the day participants will have had the opportunity to:

• Revisit key aspects of their previous safeguarding and child protection training.
• Identify and consider the impact of recent trends and developments in safeguarding and child protection.
• Increase awareness on key SBNI themes.
• Facilitate ongoing professional development.
