Nurturing Resilience
The Nurturing Resilience professional learning course is for school staff and is designed to equip educators with the knowledge and skills necessary to support children and young people in developing and further developing resilience, as well as including guidance for staff in how they too can further develop resilience in and for themselves.
This program will cover:
Research and resilience
Risk and Protective Factors
Emotional, Academic, Social Resilience - Growth Mindset - Resources to use in the classroom setting
Ideas for embedding resilience as a whole school
Participants will:
Understand the concept of resilience, where it came from, different perceptions and misconceptions regarding resilience and ultimately why it’s important for pupils.
Identify the different aspects of resilience.
Discover some resources that you can bring directly into your classroom/school to help nurture resilience as well as being signposted to further research/reading.
