Access Arrangements for Primary Pupils experiencing Literacy Difficulties

AIMS:

  • To examine what Access Arrangements are and the principles behind their existence.
  • To highlight a range of Access Arrangements that may be appropriate for some primary pupils experiencing literacy difficulties.
  • To provide an overview of the place that assistive technology may have in levelling the playing field for some primary pupils experiencing literacy difficulties.
  • To discuss the regulations that govern the administration of Access Arrangements in externally assessed KS2 tests e.g. the transfer tests and the PTE/PTM tests.
  • To provide signposting to resources and literature which may prove helpful for primary-based school staff in relation to Access Arrangements.

Course Details:

The training is a 30 minute training video which participants can view in their own time.
