Aims and Objectives

Day One

  • To increase awareness of the ways in which children and young people grieve
  • To be familiar with strategies which support children and young people experiencing bereavement
  • To provide a Bereavement Policy Framework

Day Two 

  • To provide guidance on developing a Critical Incident Management Plan
  • To raise awareness of the many complex issues accompanying a critical incident
  • To inform schools of the supportive role of the Education Authority Critical Incident Response Team

Course Details

This course is a two day course and attendance on both days is compulsory.
