Newly-appointed Vice Principals' Support Programme 2023-2024 - Day 7 - Making Conversations Count (1)

This online professional learning opportunity is suitable for newly-appointed Vice Principals.

'Conversation is the fundamental unit of change.  If you change the conversation, then there's every chance you'll change everything that surrounds it.'  (Jackson & Waldman 2011)

OBJECTIVES:

In developing yourself as a leader we will reflect on:

• how to enhance the quality of conversations in school;
• how to have successful difficult conversations; and
• what happens in effective coaching conversations

There are two parts to this session - Day 7 online on 17 April and Day 8 in-person in 4 venues in May.  This is to facilitate a series of reflective and practical exercises which will support you in developing your knowledge and understanding of how to help people grow through a solution-focused approach to professional conversations.  It would be helpful to be able to attend both sessions.

TIME:  9.30am - 1.00pm

This online training event on 17 April 2024 will take place via MS Teams and you will be sent a link prior to the date.

The powerpoint and the journal will be uploaded to the portal area prior to the session.
