To share the inclusive features of Immersive Reader, Dictate, Editor and Reading progress, in particular, as practical strategies to help bypass literacy difficulties.

Access Arrangements for Primary Pupils with Literacy Difficulties

AIMS:

To examine access arrangements and the principles behind their existence. To highlight a range of access arrangements which may be appropriate for some primary pupils experiencing learning difficulties. To discuss the regulations that govern the administration of access arrangements in the CAT4, PTE, PTM, NGRT and the SEAG entrance exams. To provide signposting to online resources which may prove helpful for primary school staff in relation to access arrangements.

AIMS:

To introduce the software and explain the context of using it throughout schools in N. Ireland

To discuss the 18-month license for the software purchased by EA which will enable every child to have equal access to the latest version of this software in school and at home.

To explain the benefits of the software and discuss pupil cohorts who will find usage helpful.

To provide a live demo of the basic functions of the software and the settings that support each feature

To provide two short, timed tasks for participants to try themselves to gain experience using the software.
