An Overview of the Social Behaviour and Emotional Well Being Chapter within the SEN Resource File.

This face-to-face professional learning day for Early Career Teachers will explore strategies and resources for enabling positive behaviour management in the primary classroom. 

Objectives

• Develop your knowledge and understanding of the requirements of positive behaviour within the context of lifelong learning, the GTCNI competences and Learning Leaders.
• To outline the shift from managing behaviour to understanding and supporting children and young people experiencing SBEW needs.
• Examine positive behaviour approaches within a classroom context.
• To know and understand how developing proactive and collaborative approaches leads to an evolution in how support is provided to pupils experiencing SBEW needs.
• Signpost to supporting resources.

Members of the Primary Behaviour Support Team will lead this professional learning day.

Time:

10.00 am - 2.30 pm

This training will take place in Antrim Board Centre.
