Overview
The Primary Children Looked After Advisory Service are pleased to invite you to this full‑day online workshop, delivered by award winning Clinical Psychologist, Trainer, and Author, Dr Karen Treisman.
This session is designed to strengthen professional confidence and skill in capturing and representing the voice, wishes, feelings, and perspectives of children and young people.
Course Information
We often read in reports and are asked in meetings and in our “assessments” about gaining or presenting the voice, wishes, feelings, and hopes of the child. This is a hugely important area, even more so when the child often can be and feel silenced, misunderstood, unseen, and much more.
This workshop offers a range of different practical, expressive, and creative games, cards, activities, worksheets, and tools for exploring children’s hopes, wishes, feelings, needs and perspectives. Whilst, sharing some things to be mindful of when talking about potentially emotive and thorny aspects of their lives.
