Overview

This training aims to increase awareness of the sensory and survival needs of Children Looked After. It supports staff to build on their understanding of trauma and attachment, and to consider how sensory needs can impact all children within the school environment.

 

What’s included

This training is divided into three pre-recorded sessions (approx. 45 minutes in total):

  • Review of Brain Development and Polyvagal Theory of Social Engagement
  • Survival States in the Classroom and Introduction to the Sensory Systems
  • Scenarios You Might See in School and Ways to Help
