Education Training for Social Workers

Overview

This training aims to increase understanding of the education system and key processes. It supports social workers to develop their knowledge of educational needs and school systems, and to feel more confident in their role supporting Children Looked After to achieve their full academic potential.

What’s included

This training consists of one pre-recorded video (24 minutes) covering seven modules:

• Module 1 – Admissions and Transfers
• Module 2 – School Management and Assessments
• Module 3 – Attendance and Transport
• Module 4 – Special Education
• Module 5 – Suspensions and Expulsions
• Module 6 – Inter-Agency Working
• Module 7 – The PEP Process
