Embedding Shared Education through Music (2 Day Module)

Target Audience – Primary / Music Coordinators or Leaders of Music within Partnership Schools

Music in the classroom is made up of many components which are intrinsically linked; these should be developed within each year group throughout the Primary School.  For music to be successful, there must be a logical and coherent progression between each year group.

This 2 day module aims to:

• Provide an overview of music in the Primary School.
• Identify the key areas for development and demonstrate how these are interwoven
• Demonstrate the clear line of progression that exists within each component.
• Empower and encourage teachers to enjoy music in the Primary School/Partnership
• Recognise how music can be used to support Shared Education
