Supporting the leaders of post primary schools to develop ‘Flourishing Schools’

Throughout this period of Covid-19, you have been communicating regularly with your cross-organisational link officer. One of the key messages coming through is the need to acknowledge and address the emotional impact that Covid-19 is having on pupils, staff and families.

As part of our response to this, we have organised  a webinar hosted by Joanna Brown (Safeguarding Board NI),  a very experienced and well respected trainer in Trauma Informed Practice.  Joanna will offer post primary school principals the opportunity to consider the concept of trauma in the context of the current pandemic and will assist school leaders by exploring an effective model which ensures that all parts of the school community are able to work together to develop a Trauma Informed approach.  Please see attached for further information.

We would like to invite you to participate in one of two webinars which will take place from 3:30 – 4:45 on 5 October and 6 October.  Please note, applications for the live webinars are limited to one per school. The sessions will be recorded as we appreciate that other members of your staff may wish to access the webinar at a later date. These will be available through the C2k Media Library accessible through My School. Additional material and a link to the webinar will be shared in due course.
