The first webinar introduces the longitudinal Taking Boys Seriously (TBS) participatory action research initiative that spans twenty years in Northern Ireland. TBS has engaged directly with thousands of adolescent boys and their educators across formal and informal education with a focus on removing the bricks that make it more difficult for some boys to progress through formal education. Participants will be invited to reflect on and share how key themes from the research are realised within their educational context including:

• Appreciative inquiry as a strengths-based and affirmative approach to continuous improvement;
• The 10 TBS principles of relational education;
• Building a localised educational ecosystem to harness collective capacities.

Whether you're a school leader, teacher, youth work manager, youth worker or education professional, this webinar offers an opportunity to connect with leading research from Northern Ireland that underpins a UK-wide Boys' Impact movement and responds directly to tackling compounded educational disadvantage experienced by large numbers of boys and young men.
