Target audience:  Early Career Teachers undertaking Induction and EPD

ECTs registered with the EA for the academic year 2026-2027 will have received an access code to enable them to apply for this event.  

About this event

This webinar introduces Early Career Teachers to key digital tools and platforms within the C2k/EdIS ecosystem.  The C2k eLearning team will provide an overview of the My-School interface and demonstrate practical tools that support teaching, learning, organisation and accessibility.  ECTs will be guided through effective ways to use Microsoft 365, Google Classroom and C2k Newsdesk, and will receive advice on the responsible and productive use of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini.

Webinar Objectives

By the end of this session, Early Career Teachers will be able to:

  • Build confidence using core digital tools that enhance teaching and pupil engagement.

  • Navigate the My‑School portal to access key resources efficiently.

  • Use Microsoft 365 and Google Classroom to support learning, organisation and workflow.

  • Apply C2k Newsdesk to develop pupils’ communication skills through real‑world content.

The webinar with ID Number (13666) is intended for participants from Nursery, Primary, or Special Education settings.

The webinar with ID Number (13837) is intended for those in Post-Primary or Special Education settings.

This professional learning opportunity aims to support the development of the following GTCNI competences:

GTCNI Competence No 1

Teachers will have developed a knowledge and understanding of how to use technology effectively, both to aid pupil learning and to support their professional role, and how this competence embeds across all of the competences.
