Shared Community Connections Conference

Target Audience: All SESP Partnership Schools in Belfast City Council Area

Date: Tuesday 31st March 2020

Venue: Girdwood Community Hub, 10 Girdwood Avenue, Belfast, BT14 6EG

The conference will provide an opportunity to peruse a Marketplace of organisations who will be able to support you with the delivery of the Community Connections aspect of the Shared Education.  There will be some presentations from school partnerships about their own experiences and we hope you will also find the event useful for networking.

Our hope is that this conference will help to address some of the recommendations from the SESP evaluation report (Oct 2018) in the following ways:

• Provide professional learning and support for school partnerships
• Support school partnerships to enhance and develop further their community connections
• Build the capacity of staff to understand the issues faced by their pupils and to explore the issues that are relevant to their communities
• Create opportunities for partnerships to learn from the most effective practice
