Work Experience Arrangements (2019) Information Workshop for Maintained Schools

These arrangements, based on evolved good practice, aim to allow schools to work in partnership with employers to ensure that time spent on work experience programmes is well managed, organised and safe.

The EA has organised an additional information workshop for maintained schools to assist them with the implementation of these arrangements. 

This workshop has been designed to explain and clarify key legal, safeguarding, health and safety and good practice issues when organising work experience programmes within schools.

Audience

Maintained Post-Primary Schools (Priority will be given to schools who did not attend the sessions delivered in November).

Work placement co-ordinators/careers co-ordinators and other SLT within schools are welcome to attend (maximum of 2 persons per school).
