This Professional Learning & Development Programme aims to focus on delivering the NI Curriculum for pupils with Special Educational Needs and complex needs within a Post Primary Specialist Provision at Key Stage Three, which you may tailor for your individual setting needs. This is an opportunity for Post Primary Specialist Provision staff to explore how to plan for delivering the NI Curriculum, to effectively meet the needs of pupils within their setting.
Course Structure/Content:
This session has been specifically structured to support the following -
1. Explore the rationale for a teaching, learning and assessment model using 2 IEP or PLP cycles, and outline tools for identifying pupil needs.
2. Consider what differentiation looks like within a Post Primary Specialist Provision. Highlight four parts to differentiation (content, process, product, and the learning environment) and how these might shape planning.
